Pembelajaranpendidikanetika, moral, dannorma yang
dilakukanselamainikenyataanyabelumsemuanyaberhasilsehinggaparapesertadidikbelumbisame
nunjukankarakter yang diharapkanbangsaini. Kurangefektifnyapengajaran moral
disekolahadalahkarenaetika, moral, dannormadiajarkanhanyasampaipadatatarankognitif.
Selainitu, penyajianmateripelajaranterbataspadametodeceramahsementaraetika, moral,
dannormamengarahkepadatindakandanprakteksecaranyata,
meskipuntingkahlakudipengaruhiolehcaraseseorangmematuhisuatutindakan.Tujuanpenelitianini adalahuntukmemperolehgambarantentangPembinaanKarakterKewarganegaraanmelaluiPendidi
kanPancasiladanKewarganegaraan (PPKn) di SMPN 3 Majalengka.Pendekatanyang
digunakandalampenelitianiniadalahpendekatankualitatif yang
dikembangkanmelaluimetodedeskriptifanalitismelaluistudikasus.Teknikpengumpulan data yang
digunakanadalahobservasi, wawancara, dananalisisdokumen.Setelahmelaluipembahasan,
hasilpenelitianinimenunjukkanbahwa:
1)PendidikanKewarganegaraanmengembangkankarakterkebangsaandankarakter individual. 2)
Mata pelajaranPendidikanKewarganegaraanmemilikiperan yang
sangatbesarterutamadalammembinakarakterkewarganegaraansiswa. 3) Dalam proses
pembelajaranPendidikanKewarganegaraanhal yang pertamadipersiapkanadalah RPP
(RencanaPelaksanaanPembelajaran), sepertimenentukan indicator pembelajaran, kolomkarakter yang hendakdikembangkan, materipembelajaran, menentukanmetodedan model pembelajaran,
sumberpembelajaran, media pembelajaran, danlangkah-langkahpembelajaran,
selainituadajugapenilaian yang mencakupsikap, pengetahuan,
keterampilan.Berdasarkanpaparantersebut, guru diharapkanmenilaikembali
proses
pembelajaran yang telahdilaksanakandenganjalanmenambahpengetahuandanwawasan
yang berhubungandenganpembinaankarakterKewarganegaraan.

effectivemoralteachingin schoolsisdue toethical, moral, andnormsare taughtonly atthe cognitivelevel.In addition, the presentation ofthe subject matteris limited toa lecturewhileethics, morals, andnormsand practiceslead torealaction, though thebehavioris influencedbythe way a personadhere toa course of action. The purpose ofthis study was toobtainan overview of theCivicsCharacter Buildingthrough Civics Education inSMPN3Majalengka.The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach developed through descriptive analysis method through case studies. Data collection techniques used was observation, interviews and document analysis.After a discussion, the results of this study indicate that: 1) CivicsEducationdevelop a national character and individual character. 2) Civics Education study has an especially large role in fostering Civics character of students. 3) In the process of learning Civics Education first thing prepared is the lesson plan as determining indicators of learning, character columns to be build, learning materials, define the methods and models of learning, learning resources, instructional media and learning steps, but it is also includes the assessment of attitudes, knowledge, skills.According to those fact, the teachers are expected reassess the learning process has been carried out with the knowledge and insight related to character building citizenship.
