Competency Test (UKW) for two days in Central Tapanuli, 18 participants were declared competent, while the remaining 7 were not yet.

That was said by the Chairperson of the UKW Examination Team Prof. Rajab Ritonga, PhD when announcing participants who graduated at the closing ceremony of the UKW at the location of the Martabe Batangtoru Gold Mine, South Tapanuli, Thursday (3/5/2020).

"Of the 30 participants who registered to join UKW, only 25 participants registered. And of the 25 participants tested, 18 participants were declared competent or passed, and the rest were not yet competent. Thus the number of competent journalists in Indonesia became 11,895 people from 27 Competency Test Institutions," he said.

And according to the Central PWI program, said Ritonga, there are five regions that will carry out the next UKW. It's just that the area outside North Sumatra, namely in Kalimantan, Gorontalo, Bengkulu, Ternate, and West Sulawesi.
