The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6.

ICS numbers may be provided in addition, where applicable): Nickel compounds (except Nickel carbonyl), Arsenic and Arsenic compounds (except Arsenic trioxide, Arsine and Gallium arsenide) and their containing preparations, etc.

Title, number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: Amendment to Enforcement Order of Industrial Safety and Health Law and related ordinance about Nickel compounds (except Nickel carbonyl), Arsenic and Arsenic compounds (except Arsenic trioxide, Arsine and Gallium arsenide) (1 page, in English).
6. Description of content: The Government of Japan is going to impose necessary measures such as installation of sealing systems in manufacture or handling of the covered products to prevent health impairment of workers on employers.
7. Objective and rationale, including the nature of urgent problems where applicable: To prevent hazards to workers due to harmful chemical substances.
8. Relevant documents: The Industrial Safety and Health Law. The said amendment will appear in "KAMPO" (Official Government Gazette) when adopted.
