Nowadays, technology is common in daily life and right now it is become necessary to learn and gather more knowledge. It is because now it is in the cyber age where everyone use technology anytime and anywhere. It is also applicable in our daily life especially student. Teachers and parents also are not excluded. They have to know because they will able to help their student. Besides that, there are a lot of software design aims to help student in their learning and education. For example, Any Time Student Information will help to get more information about education. It is also reliable to manage school.
Any Time Student Information or A.T.S.I is an ERP enabled educational solution that has been designed and developed by XIPHIAS Software Technology (p) Ltd. XIPHIAS Software Technology (p) Ltd is located in Bangalore and Rohit Kumar as CEO and in 2005, he has came up with a dream of developed a web application. The A.T.S.I online ERP software has already been implemented in reputed educational institutions of all levels start from multi-branch nursery schools to graded schools and colleges. As a user configurable and dynamic software solution, A.T.S.I helps its users to view and gather detailed and customized information of both administrative and academic nature and is also integrated with SMS and email options.
Aims for develop A.T.S.I was to help students, teachers, parents and the school administrative staff to use school data in a more organized and structured manner. It allows users to interact with basic operation and information of their schools seamlessly and also provides access to all relevant reports that have been generated over the years. It has been designed to provide an enhanced interaction between students, teachers, parents and the management and can be accessed over the internet from any location in the world. It is also to streamline and manage student information efficiently along with automating processes for the stakeholders.
A.T.S.I fulfills the need and requirement of all stake-holders of the education system such as parents, students, teaching faculty and administration. It will give them access to circulate information whenever, wherever and whatever they want. The main focus of the company has always been the quality of its products. This is one of the reasons why they host their application on secured servers such as Data Centers in Sydney, Hong Kong and Dallas on rackspace.com.
The primary functionality of this based on ERP software solution. ERP stand for Enterprise resource planning which is business-management software that typically a suite of integrated applications. It is an organization that can use to collect, store, manage and interpret data from many business activities, including product planning, cost ,manufacturing or service delivery, marketing and sales. It is to streamline and manage student information efficiently along with automating processes for the stakeholders. The ERP modules have been built on a sophisticated Dot Net environment and incorporate the cloud computing concept with the latest web 2008 SQL server technologies.
This software has been already implemented in reputed educational institutions of all levels from multi branch from nursery to graded schools and colleges. Any Time Student Information (A.T.S.I) always aim to help schools to be a better administration management. It is because through the enterprise resource planning (ERP), it enabled student management product offering such as to remove and or reduce the certain thing that bother. Of course this software have a lot of benefits that are very good to students. The benefits is automate registration and admission. It will be useful especially in early year school where is a students are registering and admission in school. For example, parents inclined send their children to boarding school which is a lot of work where it is time-consuming and energy and sometimes give a giddiness head. So they can manage hostel boarding and lodging systematically
Second, it is also can manage student information efficiently such as classes and subjects according to requirement so that student will not be confuse if they received false information. It is also have an automated time table generation with option. For example, student have a wise timetable so that they can use it properly. It is also can track students and staffs attendance. So they will know immediately if students or staff absent or suddenly missing. It will be recorded wisely.
Library management also important and must be completely systematic because library is knowledge collection and many people gather to get materials and information that helps them in study. If library management not efficient thus it will raise dissatisfaction from student. It is also can automate examination management system so they can properly arrange examination schedule so it cannot be overlap. As we know, there are hundred students and subjects that need to arrange properly.
First,the poor communication among the different departments and functions in educational institute. There are not an efficient way to communicate through because the department is far and harder to make or resolve something quickly. So, A.T.S.I can help with just use internet connection. It will make thing smooth and faster because when we need something important, we only have to connect internet and attach file using this software.
4.0 PROBLEM FACED
Centralized database management is very crucial because it may affect the whole school if they are wrong. So Any Time Student Information (A.T.S.I) has the answer and perfectly designed to fulfill the flawless and systematic data management.
There are a lot elementary problem faced from day to day. Among them is administrative office are overloaded with files or pile of information. This is because new juniors always admitted every year even though seniors already finish the learning at the school that make tons of file to be kept by school. File is very important for school to keep because when something happen regarding to school, it will make easier to solve it.
After that, one of the main problem faced by is procedure to gain access to any small data is long and heavily bureaucratic. For example, the students want to take their examination slip. It is because the staffs have to overlooked file the manually and of course it take a lot of time and of course it waste more energy. So, the staff can compile many file in one folder and do the same step for other files and make sure that the file do not mix with other files.
Next, most of the information provided is out of date and inconsistent such as file from others year that cannot be update manually because it has so many files and the files is related among them. As we know, we must update every single thing because every matter will alter from time to time although there is some of things that is remained and it need a wise and dynamic solution.
Functionality is scattered throughout different organizational units and of course it will make some trouble. We have to do the matter run smoothly to facilitate our work and not to give any giddiness or other pain. There is also must not have data redundancy and if they have, they must be normalize to not cause data reopeat many times. For example, when the functionality cannot be carried out, it may occur any harm to other files such as hanged and jammed.
