ABSTRAK
Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh lama hidrolisis terhadap kadar bioetanol dari glukosa hasil hidrolisis selulosa tongkol jagung dengan HCl 1%. Isolasi selulosa dari tongkol jagung dengan berat yang diperoleh 18,31 g. Selulosa yang diperoleh dihidrolisis dengan HCl 1% dengan variasi lama hidrolisis 90, 120, dan 150 menit untuk menghasilkan glukosa yang dianalisa dengan metode Luff-Schoorl. Kadar glukosa yang diperoleh 7.37%, 9.2% dan 6.64%. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa yield bioetanol tertinggi diperoleh pada hidrolisis 120 menit dengan berat ragi roti 7 g dan lama fermentasi 6 hari sebesar 8,2%. Analisis kemurnian bioetanol menggunakan kromatografi gas dengan hasil kemurnian 99,53%.

HYDROLYSIS WITH HCl 1% ON GLUCOSE LEVELS
TO MAKE BIOETHANOL
ABSTRACT
Have been done research about influence of hydrolysis time on bioethanol of hydrolysis glucose from cellulose corn cobs by HCl 1%. Cellulose insulation on baby corn cob with weight obtained 18.21 g. The cellulose obtained is hydrolyzed by HCl 1% with a variation of hydrolysis time 90, 120, and 150 minutes to produced glucose was analyzed by the Luff-Schoorl method. Glucose levels were obtained 7.37%, 9.2% and 6.64%. The result showed that the highest of bioethanol yield at hydrolysis time of 120 minutes with a weight of 7 g of baker's yeast and fermentation time 6 days is 8.2%. The results of analysis bioethanol using gas chromatography with a purity of bioethanol 99.5%.
