Baratayudha war was a war story that is told in the Mahabharata. This war was motivated by the struggle for territory between the Kauravas (descendants of King Dhritarashtra) and the Pandavas (descendants of Pandu). This war took place in kurushetra around 3000-1000 BC. According to Javanese wayang, this war occurred in Java.
Before the Pandavas and Kauravas were born, it has been predicted and confirmed.
The dispute between Pandavas and Kauravas started when their parents was young. Pandu (father of the Pandavas) brought three daughters from three
states, named Kunti, Gendari, and Madrim. One of them offered to Dhritarashtra, the blind brother. Dhritarashtra decided to choose Gendari. He chosen the three daughters was by lifting one by one,the elected was Gendari,because her was the heaviest weight, so that Dhritarashtra Gendari thought that someday would have many children, just like a dream Dhritarashtra. This made Gendari was offended and hurted. She also vowed her descendants would become bitter enemies the children of Pandu.
After the Pandavas and Kauravas were born, they continued hostile, especially after the death of Pandavas’ father.
This war took place around 18 days.
The first day. In the beginning, Arjuna (one of the Pandavas) doubted and wanted to get out of this battle. However, Vasudeva Krishna eliminated existing doubts in Arjuna heart with shown the original form of himself (Lord Vishnu). With this, Arjuna's doubts in the hearts disappearead. Pandavas and allies strategized very carefully, so it was a bit against the Pandava army troops Kurawa more.
However, the results obtained by the Pandavas and allies were losing.
On the second day, Arjuna wanted to turn things around from the first day. The Kauravas and allies were losing.
The next day, many soldiers were killed in this battle. Who endure to the end were the Five Pandavas, Yuyutsu, Setyaki, Ashwatthama, Kripa and Kritawarma.
