ABSTRAC

There were many activities that government did to- solve macroeconomic

problems, such as stability of exchange rate, number of unemployment and inflation

rate that reach two digits.

The policy that government had been issued didn't really

work,

for example

government had been issued free foreign exchange rate system. But the policy

seemed not really influenced to attempt the situation of country's economic problems.

Thus, government started to renew the policies. They started with regulate the

policy that they have created. Then the policies were supposed to work with the

strategy that have been made to slve the country's crisis.

Monetary policy is one

of the

government's policies to

solve

the

macroeconomic problems, such as high rate inflation. The instruments of the policy

are open market operation, rediscount rate policy and reserve requirement policy.

They work to control money supply and interest rate.

Through this reason, writer try to observe some factor that can stabilize the

inflation rate by title:

"Analises of Monetary Policy toward Inflation Rate in

Indonesia."
