ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to analyze a cluster server with Proxmox VE based VPS (Virtual Private Server) using manual fencing mechanism to measure the limits of the server to handle virtual servers. Virtual server is handled by server cluster that uses more than one server that provides interconnection, so that the user only knows one server systems available, and the computer client does not recognize in the event of failure on the system because of the availability of the server or backup. VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a server that allows running in a virtualization that may have a lot operating system. Proxmox VE is a derivative of Debian linux distro that is able to virtualize the server.
Making this Cluster Server is based method NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) with build VPS server that can be handle by cluster server. . This cluster will be able to overcome the problem of the failure system from server. This resea rch resulted in the analysis of cluster server with proxmox VE to test the performance limits of resource (RAM, Haddisk, Processor) computer servers to handling virtual servers that can later be used as a reference for students in building a cluster server with Proxmox VE.

ABSTRAK
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis sebuah cluster server dengan Proxmox VE berbasis VPS (Virtual Private Server) dengan menggunakan mekanisme manual fencing dengan mengukur batas kemampuan
server dalam menangani server virtual. Server Virtual ditangani oleh cluster server yang menggunakan lebih dari satu server yang menyediakan interkoneksi, sehingga pengguna hanya tahu satu sistem server yang tersedia, dan komputer client tidak mengenali dalam hal kegagalan sistem karena ketersediaan server atau cadangan. VPS (Virtual Private Server) adalah sebuah server yang memungkinkan berjalan dalam virtualisasi yang mungkin memiliki banyak sistem operasi. Proxmox VE adalah turunan dari distro linux Debian yang mampu untuk virtualisasi server
tersebut.
Pembuatan Cluster Server ini didasarkan metode NDLC (Ja ringan Development Life Cycle) dengan membangun server VPS yang dapat ditangani oleh cluster server. Cluster ini akan dapat mengatasi masalah kegagalan sistem dari server. Penelitian ini menghasilkan analisa dari cluster server dengan proxmox VE dengan uji batas performa resource (RAM, Haddisk, Processor) komputer server dalam menangani server virtual yang nantinya dapat digunakan sebagai acuan mahasiswa dalam membangun sebuah cluster server dengan Proxmox VE.
