ABSTRACT

This collection entitled Immortals which means there is no such thing as immortality.

Humans will die and can not live forever. Immortals is a movie that inspired the title of the

author. Immortals tells the story of immortality that of the Greek gods and power struggles

involving the peoples of the earth. Clothing that may be in the movie has a character

Immortals greek style. This collection is not only inspired the writer of the film Immortals

only, but inspired from the fashion clothing greek gods and goddesses whose character soft, feminine, light, and the drapery on any clothes. The author would like to combine two

different characters into a new work that is relevant and has a modern touch.

Color to be used in the collection using a color-tune the color of fire. In the first draft

of the author to choose colors that are expected to represent the nude character of the Greek

gods themselves. And the next until the final draft to the direction of the red rose color. Red

color represents the last draft, was supposed to bloodshed in the film presented in Immortals.

When creating this collection too, I experienced some difficulties, especially in the merger of

two different characters. Two characters is quite a contrast that is: feminine and masculine.

Merging the two characters in one deluxe designs ready to wear and made with a modern

silhouette. Patt shoulder of workmanship and the use of sequins in the form of manipulating

fabric strewn around the front shoulder and chest Patt.

The main purpose of the collection and made this report to qualify to take the court

expert DIII middle of Art and Design, Faculty of Art and Design, Bandung Maranatha

Christian University. The collection is addressed to the author of a career woman who has a

dynamic and efficient life. And used to attend the wedding, office, or other formal occasions.

Women who have a high spirit of fashion, has a high purchasing power and to understand the development of the fashion world today.

Koleksi kali ini berjudul Immortals yang berarti tidak ada yang namanya keabadian. Manusia akan mati dan tidak dapat hidup untuk selama-lamanya. Immortals ini merupakan judul film yang menjadi inspirasi dari penulis. Immortals menceritakan tentang keabadian yang dimiliki para dewa-dewi yunani dan perebutan kekuasaan yang melibatkan kaum di bumi. Pakaian yang terdapat didalam film Immortals ini memiliki karakter greek style. Koleksi kali ini penulis bukan hanya terinspirasi dari film Immortals saja, melainkan terinspirasi dari fashion pakaian dewa-dewi yunani yang memiliki karakter lembut, feminine, ringan, dan drapery pada setiap pakaiannya. Penulis ingin menggabungkan dua karakter yang berbeda menjadi suatu karya baru yang relevan dan memiliki sentuhan modern.

Warna yang akan digunakan dalam koleksi menggunakan warna-warna dari tune api. Pada rancangan pertama penulis memilih warna nude yang diharapkan mewakili karakter dari dewa-dewi yunani sendiri. Dan pada rancangan selanjutnya sampai akhir warna naik menuju kearah merah. Warna merah yang mewakili rancangan terakhir ini, dimaksudkan pada pertumpahan darah yang disajikan di dalam film Immortals.

Ketika membuat koleksi ini pun, penulis mengalami beberapa kesulitan terutama dalam penggabungan dua karakter yang berbeda. Dua karakter yang cukup kontras yaitu : feminine dan maskulin. Penggabungan yang dua karakter dalam satu rancangan ready to wear deluxe dan dibuat dengan siluet modern. Dari pengerjaan shoulder patt dan manipulating fabric berupa pemakaian payet yang ditabur diseluruh shoulder patt dan bagian depan dada.

Adapun tujuan utama dan dibuatnya koleksi dari laporan ini untuk memenuhi syarat untuk menempuh sidang ahli madya DIII Seni Rupa dan Desain, Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain, Universitas Kristen Maranatha Bandung. Koleksi ini penulis tujukan kepada para wanita karier yang memiliki jiwa dinamis dan efisien. Dan dipergunakan untuk menghadiri acara pernikahan, kantor, ataupun acara-acara formal lainnya. Wanita yang memiliki jiwa high fashion, memiliki daya beli tinggi serta memahami perkembangan dunia fashion saat ini.

PENDAHULUAN 1.1. Latar Belakang Masalah

Keragaman inspirasi yang tercipta pada setiap karya dihasilkan individu terjadi pada setiap aspek pekerjaan di dunia ini. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, banyak hal yang semula dianggap sebagai sesuatu yang tidak biasa, kini telah menjadi suatu lahan inovasi yang patut dicoba oleh setiap insan. Di dalam industri mode sebagai contoh konkritnya, begitu banyak hal yang dilakukan sebagai inovasi yang berkembang dari masa ke masa. Hal ini pun semakin menarik untuk diteliti atau diamati sebagai sebagian aspek yang menjadi inspirasi untuk berkarya.

Banyak sekali hal yang dapat menjadi Inspirasi dalam menciptakan suatu karya dari berbagai hal yang berada disekitar pembuat karya itu sendiri. Beberapa diantaranya dapat melalui film yang ditonton, buku atau berita yang dibaca, maupun melalui kecintaan seseorang terhadap suatu hal. Salah satu bidang yang dapat menampung tercurahnya inspirasi adalah dunia mode dalam industri fashion. Salah satu sifat dunia mode adalah kemampuannya untuk berevolusi dalam segala hal yang berhubungan dengan teknologi.

Masalah dalam pembuatan rancangan kali ini adalah penggabungan dari dua karakter yang berbeda, yaitu maskulin dan feminin menjadi satu rancangan baru yang relevan dan memiliki nuansa modern. Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah menemukan suatu rancangan yang baru dari penggabungan dua unsur yang berbeda menjadi satu. Dan memberikan sentuhan baru di dunia fashion. Berdasarkan fakta-fakta dan alasan-alasan di atas maka desainer mau membuat koleksi dengan judul koleksi Immortals.

1.2. Rumusan Masalah

2 Universitas Kristen Maranatha menjadi suatu karya yang yang berbeda. Tetapi dalam hal ini penulis memiliki masalah bagaimana cara penggabungan antara sosok feminin yang terinspirasi dari dewa-dewi Yunani dan sosok maskulin yang terinspirasi dari film Immortals yang menceritakan tentang peperangan dan perebutan kekuasaan yang bernuansa keras.

1.3. Batasan Masalah

Dari desain rancangan yang bertemakan maskulin dan feminin ini, penulis membuat rancangan berpotongan lebih modern dan simple. Menonjolkan segi maskulin dari rancangan ini dengan membuat shoulder patt pada bagian bahu yang dibuat kaku. Masalah yang terjadi adalah bagaimana cara membuat shoulder patt dengan bahan satin dari keseluruhan bahan yang dipakai. Pola dari rancangan

ini memiliki pola yang simple, tetapi bagaimana cara dari pola yang simple menjadikannya unik dan berbeda. Pemilihan warna pun menjadi masalah tersendiri karena perpaduan unsur ini bagaimana cara menonjolkan dari sisi warna.

5.1. Kesimpulan

Fashion adalah perpaduan estetika dan unsur kreativitas dari masing-masing individu yang dibuat sebagai bentuk ekspresi untuk mengungkapkan pada pakaian. Fashion atau pakaian pada dasarnya adalah berfungsi sebagai penutup, perlindungan, kesopanan dan daya tarik dari pribadi yang menggunakannya. Fashion mempunyai cara nonverbal untuk menyampaikan makna dan nilai-nilai, tidak hanya sebagai sebuah karya seni, akan tetapi fashion juga dipergunakan sebagai simbol dan cerminan budaya yang dibawa yaitu budaya nasionalis.

Penerapan desain yang dibuat dapat dikenakan pada berbagai bagian rancangan yang menjadi penguat ciri khas suatu karya individu yang ingin ditonjolkan. Dalam sebuah fashion, ada nilai-nilai yang ingin dipromosikan atau dikomunikasikan melalui apa yang ditampilkan. Bidang pakaian zaman para dewa-dewi dapat menjadi tema fashion, yang dapat digabungkan bersamaan dengan film Immortals menjadi suatu karya yang futuristik tanpa meninggalkan ciri khas pembuatnya.
