Abstract
This research was purposed to find out : (1) illustration of fish complement activity after vaccination with Aeromonas hydrophila bacterin, (2) the difference between the complement titers of carp from non-vaccinated groups and vaccinated groups. Vaccination of carp with A. hydrophila bacterin was done with direct immersion for one hour using a dose of 108 cells/ml. The serum samples were taken before vaccination, at days 3, 5, 7, and 14 from vaccinated groups and control groups (non-vaccinated). The complement serum were measured based on the ability of the complement to induce hemolysis of sensitised erythrocytes. Based on the research it can be concluded that there enhancement the ability of the complement activity from vaccinated groups, where the complement titers reaching the peak at days 7 after vaccination. There were significant difference from non vaccinated groups and bacterin A.hydrophila vaccinated groups.
