Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung limbah ikan gabus pasir (Butis amboinensis) terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jln Pelita Baru, Binjai pada bulan Agustus – September 2015. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Setiap ulangan terdiri atas 5 ekor ayam broiler. Perlakuan terdiri atas P0 (tepung ikan komersil), P1 (5% tepung limbah ikan gabus pasir), P2 (10% tepung limbah ikan gabus pasir).
Hasil penelitian menunjukan rataan konsumsi ransum (g) secara berturut- turut untuk perlakuan P0, P1 dan P2 sebesar ; (523,76, 523,14 dan 486,25). Pertambahan Bobot Badan (g) ; (698,83, 733,28 dan 627,42). Konversi Ransum (%) ; (2,07, 2,03 dan 2,29). Uji statistik hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa parameter Konsumsi Ransum, Pertambahan Bobot Badan dan Konversi Ransum sangat nyata (P>0,01).
Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa tepung limbah ikan gabus pasir (Butis amboinensis) dapat digunakan dalam ransum untuk menggantikan tepung
ikan komersil sampai level 5% dalam ransum.

The research aimed to determine the utilization of gabus pasir meal on consumption rations, body weight and conversion rations broiler chickens. The research was conducted in Jl. Pelita, Binjai, from Agustus until September 2015. The design was used completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications each replications consist of 5 weaning day old chicken (DOC). Treatments were consisted of P0 (fish meal comercil); P1 (5% waste of gabus pasir meal); P2 (10% waste of gabus pasir meal).
The result showed the average consumption rations (g/head) for the treatments of P0, P1 and P2 were (523,76, 523,14 and 486,25, respectively). Average body weight (g/head) weight (698,83, 733,28 and 627,42, respectively). Average conversion rations (%) (2,07, 2,03 and 2,29, respectively). Statistic analysis showed that consumption rations, body weight and conversion rations were very significant (P>0,01).
The conclusion of this research that gabus pasir meal can be used to 5% level of fish meal in the ration.
