Recommendation for Dr. Bruri Triyono

As a professor at the Faculty of Education of Technische Universität Dresden and the head of the Media Research and Development Center, I am writing this recommenda- tion for Dr. Bruri Triyono to help you assessing his competence as researcher.
Last spring I had a first conversation with Dr. Bruri Triyono when he proposed to re- search at my institute and prepared his stay here. His interest was to improve the cur- rent situation of vocational education at Yogyakarta University and especially in relation to the field of educational technology. Therefore he planned to study the situation here in the light of a comparative analysis – which was indeed forward-looking and also fea- sible.
In the investigation and analysis of his research, Dr. Bruri Triyono worked very strictly and positively at TU Dresden for a period of 3 months from October – December 2010. In order to investigate results more convincing and in-depth, he has also taken some supplementary interviews with me and a number of colleagues mainly at TU Dresden. He made his schedule compact and reasonable, and the designed research questions were targeted and logical. Overall this shows her academic researching capacity and work controlling ability.
The results of his work at TU Dresden – 2 papers and the participation in our interna- tional lecture series - can be seen as a demonstration of his excellent ability to focus on scientific matters within in an international, truly worldwide context, but also as a fine example of his analytical skills.
After all I learned that Dr. Bruri Triyono is also a communicative and social colleague and I just can express my trust in his on-going academic career. I also wish to extend our relation, mainly on the field of Ph.D. education, i.e. by supporting future research- ers of both our countries.
All in all, I am sure that he is quite qualified for further work in any university, and it would be greatly appreciated if you could give him your favourable consideration.
