ABSTRACT
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CARD SORT FOR TEACHING VOCABULARY
(An Experimental Research at the Seventh Grade Students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Cilacap in Academic Year 2014/2015)
By experimental group. The experimental group was taught using card sort technique while the control group was taught using conventional technique. Multiple choice test was used to collect the data of this research, namely pre-test and post-test. Based on the data analysis, it was found that t-test score was 3.830 while t-table score at level of significance 0.05 for df 58 is 1.672, so test was higher than t-table (3.830> 1.672). It means that card sort technique was effective for teaching vocabulary at the seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Cilacap.
