ABSTRACT

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SMART CUBE GAME FOR TEACHING ENGLISH VOCABULARY

(An Experimental Study at the Fifth Grade Students of SD Negeri Jenang 01, Majenang Cilacap in Academic Year 2011/2012)

The aim of this research was to find out the effectiveness of “Smart Cube Game” for teaching English vocabulary at the Fifth Grade Students of SD Negeri Jenang 01 Majenang Cilacap in academic year 2011/2012.

The population of this research was the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Jenang 01 in District of Majenang. The method used was quasi experimental research. The sample of this research was 60 respondents. The respondents were divided into two groups as the subjects of the research; 5A as the experimental class and 5B as the control class. The treatment was carried out from 14th - 28th July 2012 at SD Negeri Jenang 01. The writer used tests (pre-test and post-test) to collect the data, and t-test was used to analyze the data.
