There were two classes which class E as the experimental class and class F as the control class. Test was used in collecting the data of this research, namely pre-test and post-test. The test consisted of multiple choice items, matching test items and completion. Based on the computation, t-test result was 3.416 and the result of t-table at the significant level 0.05 with the degree of freedom 64 was 1.669. The calculation of t-obtained with t-table was concluded that t-obtained was higher than t-table (3.416 > 1.669). Based on the research result, it is showed that Pictionary game was effective for teaching vocabulary at the second grade students of SMP N 2 Karangpucung in the academic year 2012/2013.
