In those contemplative moments, he realizes that every hole, every crack, and every irregularity that comes from natural process will shine out when treated right.

Tahun 2015, Pras membawa angin segar dalam industri perabotan rumah. Akar kayu jati yang tadinya tak dilirik sebagai bahan baku mebel ia pertemukan dengan resin.
Bentuk kayu yang tak simetris dihadirkan apa adanya. Simsalabim! Dari bahan tak sempurna yang terserak di hutan-hutan Blora, Cepu, Ngawi, hingga Bojonegoro, Jawa Timur, furnitur cantik pun tercipta.
Amatan Pras yang jeli atas mereka yang marginal tak hanya tecermin dari pilihan bahan baku. Tetapi juga pada aspek tenaga kerja. Untuk menghidupkan usahanya, Pras merangkul anak-anak muda yang tadinya bertahan di jalanan dan menghuni lembaga pemasyarakatan. Selain mereka, ada pula perempuan petani yang diberdayakan agar sumber pendapatannya tak lagi semata bergantung pada musim.
Kini, di bawah bendera Blotan Asian Art, Pras membawa yang lokal ke kancah global.
Blotan, yang diambil dari nama pedukuhan tempat usaha ini dijalankan, kini mulai berkibar di pasar Jerman, Austria, dan Taiwan.
In 2015, Pras brought a breath of fresh air in furniture industry. Root of teak wood never reckoned before was consolidated with resin.
Asymmetrical woods were exhibited in their real shapes. Voila! The imperfect lumber scattered throughout the Java forests has metamorphosed into beautiful furniture.
Pras’ sharp eyes upon the marginal ones are not only reflected in his choice on materials, but also upon workforce he involves in the company. He embraces youngsters who previously live on the streets and behind the bars.
Now, under the flag of Blotan Asian Art, Pras
has promoted the local to go global. Blotan,
named after the village they are located in,
is now raising and reverberating in Germany,
Austria, and Taiwan markets.
SEOLAH diciptakan untuk membangkitkan kenangan, bangku persegi ini didesain menyerupai tumpukan kayu yang akrab dijumpai di perdesaan.
