KESIMPULAN & SARAN
5.1 Kesimpulan
1. Konsentrasi SSG berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penurunan Carr’s index, penurunan Hausner ratio, dan penurunan waktu larut granul. Konsentrasi pektin berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penurunan Carr’s index, penurunan Hausner ratio, dan peningkatan waktu larut granul. Interaksi konsentrasi SSG dan konsentrasi pektin berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penurunan Carr’s index dan peningkatan Hausner ratio.
2. Formula optimum granul obat kumur povidone iodine yang diperoleh dengan program optimasi Design expert yaitu dengan menggunakan konsentrasi SSG sebesar 7,69% dan konsentrasi pektin sebesar 1,11% memberikan nilai Carr’s index 15,21%, Hausner ratio 1,17, dan waktu larut 110,88 detik yang memenuhi persyaratan.
3. Granul obat kumur povidone iodine formula optimum mempunyai daya antibakteri terhadap Streptococcus mutans, dimana mempunyai daerah hambatan pertumbuhan relatif lebih besar dibandingkan dengan obat kumur dipasaran yaitu sebesar 11,51 ± 2,81 mm, meskipun secara statistik tidak berbeda bermakna
5.2 Saran
Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang daya antibakteri granul obat kumur povidone iodine menggunakan bakteri mulut lainnya seperti Candida albicans dan Streptococcus pyogenes.
