DUKUNGAN SOSIAL GURU BK PADA PESERTA DIDIK TUNARUNGU DI SMK NEGERI 6 PADANG

ABSTRACT
The background of this research is by the existence of counselor school who still have not provided social support to the deaf student. The purpose of this study was to describe the social support of counselor school in deaf student in terms of: 1) Emotional, 2) rewards, 3) instrumental, and 4) information. This research was conducted by qualitative method of descriptive type. Key informant from this research were two of counselor school, additional informants partner of counselor school, Companion teachers, and friends of deaf student. The instruments of this research are interview, observation, and documentation study.
Techniques data processing through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results revealed that the form of social support that counselor school gave to the student deaf in SMK Negeri 6 Padang viewed from the aspects:
1) Emotional that is by giving affection and attention if experiencing problems in learning, 2) reward it was done by given praises and motivation when the students did a great job 3) instrumental by giving time and opportunity to be able to understand the service material provided, and 4) the information by giving advice and direction if deaf students experience problems in learning and also the problem of hearing. This research is recommended to the counselor school to always provide social support to the deaf student.

PENDAHULUAN
Proses belajar peserta didik tunarungu di sekolah membutuhkan dukungan sosial sebagai acuan agar peserta didik tunarungu mampu menjalani proses belajar dengan efektif. Proses belajar siswa sangat membutuhkan dukungan sosial, seperti dukungan dari keluarga khususnya orangtua kepada anaknya,
dukungan sosial guru dalam proses belajar di sekolah, dan dukungan sosial teman dalam motivasi belajar kelompok. Permasalahan yang timbul dari dukungan sosial yakni orangtua kurang memperhatikan anak dalam belajar, guru yang kurang memberikan perhatian ter- hadap peserta didik dalam proses belajar di sekolah.
