ABSTRAK

Tuturan ekspresif adalah satu dari lima kategori tindakan berbicara. Kategori dari tuturan ekspresif adalah tuturan tentang berterima kasih, meminta maaf, menuduh, menbanggakan, memberi selamat, dan berbelasungkawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi penerjemahan dan kualitas terjemahan dari tuturan expresif dalam film Born to Race dan terjemahannya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam mengumpulkan data, penelitian ini menggunakan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori analisis terjemahan oleh Gotllieb (1992). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 60 data tuturan ekspresif yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan strategi penerjemahan dan kualitas terjemahan. Ada 5 strategi penerjemahan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini. Parafrase 38,33%, Transfer 35%, Ekspansi 11,66%, Kondensasi 13,33%, dan resignasi 1,66%. Strategi penerjemahan yang paling banyak digunakan adalah parafrase. Kualitas terjemahan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: Akurasi hasil terjemahan adalah 37 data tingkat terjemahan yang akurat (62%), 21 data kurang akurat tingkat terjemahan (35%), 2 data tidak akurat tingkat terjemahannya (3%). Data penerimaan hasil terjemahan adalah 54 data yang dapat diterima (90%), 6 data kurang dapat diterima (10%), dan tidak ada tingkat yang tidak dapat diterima dalam kualitas terjemahan, keterbacaan hasil terjemahan adalah 52 tingkat keterbacaan data (87%) , 8 data kurang terbaca (13%), dan tidak ada data yang tidak terbaca.

x ABSTRACT

Expressive utterance is one of the five categories of speech acts. The categories of expressive utterance are feeling about thanking, apologizing, accusing, priding, congratulation, and condolence. This research aims to analyze the subtitling strategy and translation quality of epressive utterance on Born to Race movie and its subtitle. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. In collecting data, this research uses documentation. The data are analyzed using translation analysis theory conducted by Gotllieb (1992). The results of the research find that there are 60 data of expressive utterance analyzed using subtitling strategy and translation quality. There are 5 Subtitling strategies found in this research. Paraphrase 38,33%, Transfer 35%, Expansion 11,66%, Condensation 13,33%, and Resignation 1,66%. The most subtitling strategy that used is Paraphrase. The translation quality of this research is Accuracy of translation results is 37 data accurate level of translation (62%), 21 data less accurate level of translation (35%), 2 data inaccurate level of translation (3%). Acceptability of the translation result is 54 data acceptable level (90%), 6 data less acceptable level (10%), and there is no unacceptable level in the the translation quality. Readibility of translation results is 52 data readable level (87%), 8 data less readable level or (13%), and there is no data unreadable level.
