Protocol to Amend the Agreement for the Establishment of a

Fund for ASEAN

Bangkok, 22 October 1982

WHEREAS the Governments of the Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Singapore and the Kingdom of Thailand, being members of the

Association of Southeast Asian Nations (hereinafter referred to as “ASEAN”), have on the 17th

December, 1969 signed an Agreement for the establishment of a fund for ASEAN.

AND WHEREAS the contracting parties desire to make a certain amendment to the rules set out in the Annex to the Agreement.

AND WHEREAS under Article IV of the Agreement it is provided that amendments may be made to the Agreement and the Rules subject to the acceptance of all the contracting parties.

NOW BY THIS PROTOCOL the parties have agreed as follows:

1. The figure “US$ 2,500″ appearing in rule 14 (f) of the Rules set out in the Annex to the Agreement shall be amended and be substituted by the figure “US$ 10,000″.

2. This Protocol shall enter into force on the date of signature of all the contracting parties.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the undersigned, being duly authorised thereto by their respective governments, have signed this Protocol.

DONE at Bangkok, in a single copy in the English Language this 22nd day of October 1982.
