At the invitation of Premier Kim Il Sung of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, President/Prime
t:inister Sukarno of the Republic of Indonesia paid a state visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea from rovember 1, to Uovember 4, 1964.
President Sukarno was accompanied by Second Deputy Prime :r:Iinister, Leiroena; l!Iinister/Coordinator for National Develop-ment Planning, Suharto; Linister for Land, Postal and
Telecommunications, and Tourism, Hidajat; ginister for Informa-tion, Achmadi; riinister/Secretary General of the National
Front, Sudibjo; Minister of State, Oei Tju Tat; Lt. General
Djatikusumo; r;!ember of the Supreme Advisory Council, A. l:.
Dasaad; First Deputy of the I.Iinister for Foreign Affairs, Suwito Kusumowidagdo and other high ranking officials of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.
During their stay in Korea, President Sukarno and t>..is party were accordecl a warm welcome and hospitality by the Government and people of all walks of life of Korea.
The \; arm and friendly feelings shown by the Korean people to President Sukarno and his party have demonstrated the strong friendship between the peoples of Korea and Indonesia.
In the capital city of Pyongyane; President Sukarno addressed a mass-meeting, witnessed a demonstration of mass games and attended art performances which are clear manifesta-tions of the existing friendly relamanifesta-tions between the two

Present at the talks from the Korean side were Choi Yong Kun, President of the Presidiurn of the Supreme People's
Assembly; Kim Kwang Hyup, Vice-Premier of the Cabinet; Li Joo
Yun, Vice -Premier' of the Cabinet; Pak Sung Chul , Minister of Foreign Affairs ; Pak Wang Sup, Ambassador Zxtraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People 's Republic of Korea to the Republic of Indonesia; and Chin Choong Kook, Director of the Fourth Department of the Foreign Ministry.
Present at the talks on the Indonesian side were Leimena, Second Vice -Pre mier of the Republic of Indonesia; Suharto , Senior kinister for Econooic Development ; Hidajat , i.".inister of Land, Conununicetion and Tourism; .Achmadi , 1.Iinister of
Information; Sudibjo , kinister nnd Secretary General of National Front; Oei Tju Tat, T.!inister of State ; Lieut. Gen . Djatikusumo; A.lJ. Dasaad , r.Iember of the Supreme Advisory Council; Su\'"Jito Kusm:iowidagdo , First Deputy Foreign I.;inister .
During these talks views were exchanged on questions of further consolidating and developing the relations of friend-ship, cooperetion and solidarity bet\'Jeen Korea and Indonesia and on international questions of corn.mon concern.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction that the relations of friendship and cooperation between Indonesia and Korea in recent years have been developing steadily in conformity with the
common interests of their peoples and セゥエィ@ the interest of
freedom and peace in Asia , and in the world in general. They considered that this visit of President Sukarno to Korea is of epochal significance in further cementing and developing the friendly relations 1etween the two peoples and governments.
President Sukarno hailed the achievements made by the Korean people in building a new society and in the development of a national economy based on self - reliance under the leadership
of the Korean government headed by Premier Kim Il Sung. These
ョ」ィゥ・カ・オセセエウ@ are valuable contributions to the prosperity and
further development of a unified Korea in the future .
President Sukarno expressed full support to the strugele of the peoples nud government of the Democratic People ' s
Republic of I<o1•ea for the peaceful unification of Korea throue;h democratic procedures by the Korean peoples themselves v'1i thout
foreign interference after the キゥエィ、イ。セ。ャ@ of foLeign troops
frow South Korea . In this context the two leaders agreed to
the principle that Asian probler.1s should be solved by Asians themselves in an Asian fashion without foreign interfereuce or
intervention . They stated that the presence of foreign
military bases und foreign troops on Asian soil is not conducive to the solutions of Asian problems. They , therefore , urge all those powers maintaining military bases and troops anywhere in Asia to liquidate their bases and to withdraw their troops , in order to achieve speedy solutions of Asian problems and to proserve peace in Asia .
Premier Kim Il Sung and the people of Korea expressed their profou.d gratitude to President Sukarno and the government of the Republic of Indonesia for their active
support to th0 struggle of the Korean people for the peaceful unification of the country.
Premier Kim Il Sung highly praised the achievements of the Indonesian people under the leadership of President
Sukarno in their consistent struggle to eradicate all remants of colonial rule and to build Indonesia anew on the basis of Pantja Sile, full political independence , economic self-reliance
and cultural self-assc1•tion in conformity with Indonesia 1 s own

-Premier Kim Il Sung expressed undivided support and militant solidarity with the Indonesian people in their
struggle to dissolve the so -called "Federation of T\:aloysia11
which is an instrunent of international impc1:ialism wi th the aim of containing Indonesia's revolution and to preserve their vested colonial interests and to maintain their dominant position in Southeast Asia , thereby
threatening the security of Indonesia .
Premier Kim Il :Jung furthermore stated that the just
struggle of the Indonesian people at;ainst the so - called "Federation of J.:alaysia" constitutes a great contribution to the un tiimperialist and ant icolonialist strug -gle of the Asian , African and Latin American peoples .
Both leaders manifested their firm determination to mutually support a1;d closely cooperate with each other in their common struggle against imperialism, colonialism and r.eo-colonialism based on the spirit arid principles of
the Bandung Conference . To this end , Indonesia and
Korea agreGd to furti:,er develop closer relations and cooperation in various fields between the two countries .
Both sides share the opinion that the present interna-tional situation is steadily changing in favour of the
peoples fi Ghting for national independence . They
ex-press their warm solidarity with all the peoples of i.sia , Africa and Latin .l\merica and all progressive
forces in other parts of the world struggling fo1 the

the people in lior th Kalimantan who are waging a righteous

liberation .

that real iudcncndc-.1ce nea··1s the freedom to be free in determiniDg its own notional policies , in formulating its oYm n""tional concepts , unhampered and unhindered
by pressures or intervention from outside . Each nation
should , therefore, have the freedom to conduct its own political , economic and social affairs in line with its own nati onal concept .
The two leaders support the convening of a world summit conference for discussing the quest ion of complete prohibition and thorough destruction of nuclear weapons
as was proposed by the government of the People ' s
Republic of Chiua .

countries condemned imperialism, colonialism and
neo-colonialism セョ、@ made a contribution to the strengthening
of the common strugele of the .Asian , .African and Latin Anerican peoples for the consolidation of national
independence and peace.
Both sides heartily welcome the Second .African- Asian Conference to be held in Algiers in J!!;:rch, 1965, and express the resolution to exert joint efforts for the success of the conference, being convinced that the
conference will greatly contribute to the further strengthening of the unity of the Asian and African peoples on their

neocolonialism and to the consolidation of national inde -pendence and world peace.
Premier Kim Il Sung further expressed his full sup-port to President Sukarno ' s initiative to convene a con-ference of new e;·1erging forces (Conefo) , in which all inde-pendent countries of Asia, Africa a •. d Latin AuJerica ,
the socialist countries, and all progressive forces in other parts of the rJOrld will participate, so as to stren5then the common front of all peoples in their

-colonialism and to build a new and better world , free from domination and exploitation of nation by nation

The Governments and peoples of both Indonesia and Korea consider the first visit of President Sukarno to Korea as a great contributuion not only to the further expansion and deve lopment of the relations of friendship and cooperation between Indonesia and Korea , but ttlso to the strengthening of solidarity of nations in Asia and Africa and to the consolidation of peace in hsia and the world .
Presi dent Sukarno expressed profound thanks to the Government and people of Ko1·ea for the warm hospitality accorded them during their stay, and conveyed the sincere
hope of the Indonesian people that Premier Kim Il Sung's
visit to Indonesia , which has already been agreed upon, will be realized at an early date.
Premier IG.m Il Sung expressed profound gratitude for
the kind invitation extended to him and deems it a great pleasure to visit Indoneoia before long in order to have friendly meetingo with the Indonesian people flnd government leaders. It is the conviction of both President Sukarno and Prenier Kim Il Sung that the fraternal friendship and cooperation between the governments and peoples of Korea and Indonesia will continue to develop and flourish for the mutual benefit of the two nations .
