ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini berjudul identitas diri female disc jockey (studi deskriptif kualitatif komunikasi antar pribadi mengenai identitas diri dalam female disc jockey di kota Medan). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui identitas diri yang ada di dalam diri female disc jockey di dalam kehidupan sehari – hari serta untuk mengetahui proses pembentukan identitas diri mereka tentang pekerjaaan yang mereka jalani sebagai female disc jockey. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif dalam bentuk studi deskriptif dimana peneliti akan memberikan gambaran secara umum dan spesifik mengenai identitas diri yang ada di dalam diri female disc jockey. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori identitas diri dan konsep diri. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti melibatkan 5 informan yang dipilih secara acak namun memenuhi kriteria dan sesuai dengan tujuan juga kebutuhan penelitian. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan kepada kelima informan, ditemukan bahwa identitas diri dan konsep diri di dalam diri female disc jockey yang ada di kota Medan adalah kelima informan dominan negatif yang bisa dinilai dari dari cara menjawab pertanyaan dan mengungkapkan pengalaman ketika menjadi seorang female disc jockey, juga terlihat dari keseharian dan cara memperlakukan peneliti ketika melakukan penelitian.

ABSTRACT
This research is entitled female disc jockey’s self identity (Interpersonal Communication Qualitative Descriptive study about self identity inside female disc jockeys in Medan city). The purpose of this research is to be known about self identity inside of female disc jockeys in their daily life and to be known about the process of their self identity formed on their job they do as a female disc jockey. This research uses qualitative descriptive research methodology in form of descriptive study in which the researcher will give general and specific description about self identity inside of female disc jockeys. The theory that used for this research is self identity theory and self concept theory. In this study, the researcher involves five informant that was selected randomly but meet the criteria and in accordance with the objectives as well as research needs. Based on the research that conducted to five informant themselves, it was found the self identity and the self concept inside female disc jockeys that was given to researcher is all informant is negative dominant person who can be judge by the way of answering questions and expressing experience when becoming a female disc jockey, also seen from their daily life and how they treat researchers when did research.
