Dim lai 30 tah n lal di Jepang Dimulai 30 tahun lalu di Jepang
suatu sistem kualitas yang memfokuskan diri pada produk
dan pelayanan yang dapat memuaskan konsumen, dengan
mendengarkan voice of customer untuk pengembangan g p g g
proses dan produk tersebut
Dikembangkan pertama kali di Jepang oleh Mitsubishi’s Kobe Shipyard pada tahun 1972, kemudian diadopsi oleh Toyota Ford Motor Company dan Xerox membawa
Toyota. Ford Motor Company dan Xerox membawa konsep ini ke Amerika Serikat pada tahun 1986. Sejak itu QFD banyak diterapkan oleh perusahaan-perusahaan Jepang, Amerika Serikat dan Eropa. perusahaan Jepang, Amerika Serikat dan Eropa.
Perusahaan-perusahaan besar seperti Procter & Gamble, General Motors, Digital Equipment Corporation, Hewlett-Packard dan AT&T kini menggunakan konsep ini untuk
