Disertasi dibimbing oleh: Prof.Dr.Sunaryo Kartadinata,M.Pd (Promotor), Prof.Dr.Syamsu Yusuf,LN,M.Pd. (Ko promotor) dan Dr.Zaenal Alimin,M.Ed (Anggota promotor). Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling, Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.

Pogram akselerasi diklaim sebagai wahana pendidikan anak berbakat, tetapi implementasinya sporadis dan eksklusif. Riset ini bertujuan mengembangkan bimbingan dan konseling komprehensif anak berbakat dalam setting akselerasi-inklusi. Masalah penelitiannya adalah: Bagaimana pengembangan bimbingan dan konseling komprehensif anak berbakat melalui model struktur keberbakatan Milgram dalam setting akselerasi-inklusi yang applicable dan efektif?. Riset ini menggunakan mixed method dengan research and development sebagai payungnya.Temuannya; (1) Bimbingan dan konseling komprehensif anak berbakat dalam setting akselerasi-inklusi yang applicable (Model), adalah model yang dikontruksi berbasis profil mildly gifted, moderately gifted, dan profoundly gifted dan konteks bimbingan dan konseling terintegrasi.(2) Analisis individu menyatakan Model berdampak nyata terhadap prestasi akademik dan pengembangan diri. Ditunjukan oleh perubahan mildly gifted ke moderately gifted, moderatetly gifted ke profoundly gifted, bahkan dari mildly gifted ke Provoundly gifted, serta show potential ke ecxcellent. Simpulannya; Aplikabilitas Model terkait dukungan pimpinan sekolah, peran konselor, guru, orang tua dan komunitas. Perubahan ini tergolong success, sebab meskipun dipuncak prestasi, potensinya masih bisa dikembangkan, apalagi bagi “si kuda hitam”. Temuan ini menjadi evaluasi mendasar terhadap kebijakan program akselerasi-eksklusi dan menjadi basis pengembangan program bimbingan dan konseling anak berbakat. Model hendaknya dipandang sebagai inovasi dalam konteks towards inclusive education. Bagi penelitian lanjutan, ini menjadi roadmap untuk lebih mengontrol variabel.

Acceleration program is claimed to be designated for gifted children. However, the implementation of the program is still considered sporadic and exclusive. This study aims at developping a comprehensive guidance and councelling for gifted children in acceleration-inclusion setting. The research question is “ how does the development of a comprehensive guidance and counseling for gifted children through Milgram’s structure of giftedness models in acceleration-inclusion setting is applicable and affective?. This study applies a mixed method as its design which utilizes research and development as the umbrella . Finding shows that comprehensive guidance and councelling for gifted children in acceleration-inclusion setting (the model) be constructed based on ‘mildly gifted, moderately gifted, and profoundly gifted profile as well as on integrated guidance and councelling context. the individual analysis shows that this model has a tangible impact. The tangible impact is shown in the improvement of the categories i.e.from mildly gifted to moderately gifted, moderatetly gifted to profoundly gifted, even from mildly gifted to provoundly gifted, also show potential to ecxcellent. This result, the aplicability of this model is related to the support from the headmaster,councelor, teachers, parents, and community. This improvement is considered a success because although the children are in their best performance, their performance can still be improved, not to mention the children who are known to be normal and ‘dark horse’.This finding is an essential evaluation of the policy to implement acceleration-exclusion program, and the basis development of guiding and councelling on gifted children program. A model is supposed to be considered as the inovation toward inclusive education. For further study, this study can be a roadmap to control the variable .
