ABSTRACT
This research is motivated by the widespread use of abbreviation that does not fit with the pattern on a television show. Indonesia Lawak Klub (ILK) is a television show that brings together comedians in Indonesia to join the discussion forum to discuss a topic that is central to the current issues. In that event there is a
‘pelesetan’ abbreviation creatively packaged by the panelists, panelists here are the participants will discuss topics that fit the theme.
Abbreviation‘pelesetan’speech at the ILK has an extension even funny abbreviations and entertain the public. If usually abbreviation used to summarize the word to make it more attractive, faster and easier to remember when pronounced in communication, different abbreviation on this event even contains
a satirical ‘pelesetan’ on current issues. Panelists use this abbreviation to name an agency of the group they represent. The purpose of this study, describe the shape
of the lingual, pattern formation, type of ‘pelesetan’ in the speech event panelists
Trans7 ILK, to describe change the meaning of the results ‘plesetan’ ILK speech
event. The method used in this research is descriptive. Instrument in this study using data cards. The results of this study are found in the form of words, phrases, and clauses. The form of the word is found 39 words nouns, 3 adjectives words and 2 word of verbs. In the form of phrases found 29 eksosentrik phrases and phrases 20 endosentrik. Form of clauses found 35 data. Data abbreviation the abbreviated form consists of 3 to 1 kind of pattern formation, the form of the acronym are 20 data with the 17 patterns of word formation, and the contraction form of 105 total data to 105 word formation pattern.
