PENGARUH PENGKAYAAN Nd PADA PEMBUATAN SERBUK BAHAN MAGNET Nd2Fe14B TERHADAP STRUKTUR KRISTALIN,
MIKROSTRUKTUR DAN SIFAT MAGNET
ABSTRAK
Pembuatan serbuk magnet Nd2Fe14B sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan magnet permanen. Proses pembuatan serbuk magnet Nd2Fe14B dengan pengkayaan Nd dilakukan dengan mencampurkan serbuk Neodymium (Nd), serbuk Iron (Fe) dan serbuk Boron (B) dalam keadaan vakum. Perbandingan komposisi serbuk Nd 1,33 gram; Fe 3,62 gram; B 0,05 gram dengan massa total 5 gram kemudian di heat treatment sampai suhu 720 oC. Setelah dihasilkan Nd2Fe14B lalu divariasi dengan penambahan Nd sebesar 0,3 gram dan 0,7 gram. Lalu di heat treatment sampai suhu 720 oC. Sampel yang telah dihasilkan, kemudian dilakukan karakterisasi sifat magnet menggunakan VSM, analisis mikrostruktur menggunakan SEM-EDX dan analisis fasa yang terbentuk menggunakan XRD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Nd 0,7 gram pada serbuk Nd2Fe14B meningkatkan nilai energi produk (BH-Max). Nilai Mr = 446,5 G, Ms = 3496,01 G, Hc = 261,1 Oe dan BHmax = 17,83 KGOe diperoleh pada penambahan Nd 0,7 gram.

ABSTRACT
Manufacturing of magnetic powders Nd2Fe14B as a basic material to produce permanent magnet. The process in manufacturing magnetic powders Nd2Fe14B with Nd-rich was conducted by mixing Neodymium powders (Nd). Iron powders (Fe), and boron powders (B) in a vacuum. Ratio of composition are Nd 1,33 gram; 3,62 gram; B 0,05 gram with total mass 5 gram and then heat treatment was conducted to 720ºC. The results are Nd2Fe14B powder and then variation was conducted with addition of Nd 0,3 gram and 0,7 gram. After that, heat treatment was conducted to 720ºC. The samples were conducted by characterization of magnetic properties using VSM, microstructure analysis using SEM-EDX and phase analysis using XRD. The result of study shows that addition of Nd 0,7 gram to Nd2Fe14B increase the value of energy product (BHmax). The value of Mr = 446,5 G, Ms = 3496,01 G, Hc = 261,1 Oe and BHmax = 17,83 KGOe was obtained in addition of Nd 0,7 gram.
