PENGARUH KONSENTRASI INFUSA DAUN SIRIH (Piper betle Linn.) PADA PENCELUPAN TELUR ITIK TERHADAP
DAYA TETAS DAN KEMATIAN EMBRIO

ABSTRAK
Penelitian dilaksanakan di Bapak Daep Peternak Penetasan, Kampung Rajadesa, Desa Cipaku, Kecamatan Paseh, Kabupaten Bandung mulai tanggal 20 September sampai dengan 17 Oktober 2012, bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi infusa daun sirih pada pencelupan telur itik terhadap daya tetas dan kematian embrio. Percobaan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Terdapat lima jenis perlakuan (t0 = 0%, t1= 10%, t2 = 20%, t3 = 30% dan t4 = 40%
tingkat konsentrasi infusa daun sirih) dengan empat ulangan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik diperoleh bahwa tingkat konsentrasi infusa daun sirih sampai dengan 40% tidak berpengaruh terhadap daya tetas dan kematian embrio pada telur itik. Presentasi daya tetas tertinggi 82,50% dengan presentasi kematian embrio terendah 17,50% dihasilkan dari perlakuan konsentrasi 30%. Kondisi kerabang telur itik yang tebal dapat menimbulkan eksistensi infusa daun sirih sampai dengan 40 persen belum menampakkan signifikansi.

THE HATCHABILITY AND EMBRYOS MORTALITY

ABSTRACT
The research was conducted in the hatchery farmer of Mr. Daep, Rajadesa quarter, Cipaku village, subdistrict of Paseh, residence of Bandung from 20 September until 17 October, the purposed of this research is to know the concentration effect of infusa betel leaf by dyeing the duck eggs on the hatchability and embryos mortality. This research used experimental methods with Completely Randomized Design (CRD). There are five types of treatment (t0 = 0%, t1 = 10%, t2 = 20%, t3 = 30% and t4 = 40%
concentration level of infusa betel leaf) with four replications. Based on the statistics result found that the concentration level infusa betel leaf up to 40% were not significantly different on the hatchability and embryos mortality of duck eggs. The highest percentage hatchability 82,50% with the lowest percentage of embryos mortality 17,50% resulting from concentration treatment 30%. Conditions duck egg shell ticker coused the eggs of less influence by disinfectant material dyeing.
