MARDIANA, NIM.0304183227, THE EFFECT OF MNEMONIC TECHNIQUE ALPHABET PEG ON THE STUDENTS’ VERB VOCABULARY AT SMP AL-HIKMAH ROKAN HULU.

Skripsi, Medan: Department of English Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher‟s Training, State Islamic University of North Sumatera Medan, 2022.

This research was aimed to find out wether there‟s effect of mnemonic technique alphabet peg on the students‟ verb vocabulary mastery. The researcher took the data from SMP Al-Hikmah. The research methodology of this study was conducted by using quantitative research. This research design by using pre- experimental one group pretest-posttest design.The population of this research were first grade students at SMP Al-Hikmah.The sample of this research consist of 17 students who was a sample of experimental one group it was treated using mnemonic technique alphabet peg. The instrument used in this research is multiple choice completion for pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS 22 by Paired Sample T-Test formula. Based on the result of statistical calculation with a significant level of 5% (p< 0,05) showed p= 0,001 is lower than 0,05. The results of this study have showed the mnemonic technique alphabet peg has significant effect on the students‟ verb vocabulary mastery at SMP Al-Hikmah Rokan Hulu.

This Skripsi entitled “The Effect of Mnemonic Technique Alphabet Peg The Students‟ Verb Vocabulary Mastery at SMP Al-hikmah Rokan Hulu” „SMP Al- hikmah” was created by researcher to fulfill the assignment and to complete the requirement for degree S.Pd at English Education Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training State Islamic University of North Sumatera Medan.

The researcher is fully aware that this Skripsi can‟t be finished without other people help, support, and prayers. Therefore, in this opportunity the researcher would like to express the deep gratitude to the following people:
