Abstract
This study was carried out to investigate the benefits of using narrow reading in learning vocabulary. The main focuses in this study include the aspect that the students’ improvement in their vocabulary and their motivation toward the using of narrow reading. The participants of this study were two students from the Reading Across Genres course. The instruments used in this research were the vocabulary tests and the reading materials taken from The Jakarta Post which covered Antasari
