THE EXEMPTION FROM IMPORT DUTY ON GOODS AND MATERIALS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF COMPONENTS, ACCESSORIES AMD COACHWORK OF SPECIAL MOTOR
VEHICLES
(Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 346/KMK.01/1999 dated June 24, 1999) THE MINISTER OF FINANCE,
Considering :
a. that with a view to supporting and encouraging the development as well as enhancing the independent of the special motor vehicle industry in order to induce competitiveness, it is deemed necessary to grant an import duty exemption to goods and materials for the production of component, accessories and coach work of special motor vehicles;
b. that for the purpose as meant in point a,. it is necessary to issue a decree of the Minister of Finance to this effect.
In view of :
1. Law No. 10/1995 on customs affairs (Statute Book of 1995 No. 75, Supplement to Statute Book No. 3612);
2. Presidential Decree No. 122/M/1998;
3. The Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 440/KMK.01/1996 on the system of classifications of goods and import duty rates on import goods as already amended and supplemented the latest by the Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 346/KMK.01/1999.
DECIDES : To stipulate :
THE DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE CONCERNING THE EXEMPTION FROM IMPPORT DUTY ON GOODS AND MATERIALS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF COMPONENTS, ACCESSORIES AND COACHWORK OF SPECIAL MOTOR VECHILES.
Article 1.
Goods and materials for the production of components, accessories and cochwork of special motor vehicles as stipulated in the attachment to this decree by the special motor vehicles industry, shall be granted an import duty exemption so that the final rates of their import duty become 0% (nil percent).
Article 2.
(1) Application for the exemption as meant in Article 1 shall be submitted to the Director General of Customs and Excise.
(2) The Director General of Customs and Excise on behalf of the Minister of Finance shall issue decrees of the Minister of Finance to the applications as meant in paragraph (1) by referring to the list of goods and materials as contained in the attachment to this decree.
Article 3.
The Director General of Customs and Excise shall implement the provisions in this decree. Article 4.
This decree shall come into force as of July 1, 1999
For public cognizance, this decree shall be announced by publishing it in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
