ABSTRACT
The rapid population growth is not in line with the growth of the need for
community facilities. The number of slums and illegal buildings is not good
growth impact residential and community facilities. One of the city that can not be
separated from the problem of slums is the city of Medan. One of the slums in the city of Medan is located at Hamdan Village the outskirts of Deli River in the village Maimonides. Environmental conditions rundown with relatively low economic level of the population becomes a major problem in this area. Medan city
government so that the revitalization plan in the region. With the revitalization,
slum areas will be designed as an integrated region that provides some decent
public facilities, economic support facilities and educational facilities make this
region an independent and healthy region.
The solution to solving the problem by providing a decent olahrga Center at a
price that can be reached by Hamdan Village community. Hamdan Sport Center is
intended for residents of the village of Hamdan and surrounding areas to develop
positive behavior and activities of the community to have a more healthy life.
Hamdan design planning Sport Center that implements the concept of openness
which means not shut away from the outside area of the site. Public space open
space memorable no difference between outer and inner space. Hamdan Sport
Center which apply the theme Contemporary Architecture are playing with a
simple form but has dynamism. Shown by contrast with rhythmic roof shape and
structure that looks to be like a crown on the building aesthetics Hamdan's Sport
Center.
