Abstract

The performance of packet deliveries through the network are depended on the algorithm used by the router. The Distance Vector and Link State are algorithms commonly used by the router. The activities of the packet deliveries frequently applied are data downloading and video streaming. The objective of this reasearch is to compare the performances of Distance Vector and Link State in data downloading and video streaming activities.The result shows that the Link State is more effective than the Distance Vector in data downloading and video streaming.

Abstrak

Performa pengiriman paket melalui jaringan sangat tergantung pada algoritma yang digunakan oleh router. Distance Vector dan Link State merupakan algoritma yang banyak dipakai oleh router. Kegiatan pengiriman paket melalui jaringan yang sering dilakukan adalah download dan video streaming. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan performa download dan video streaming

menggunakan Distance Vector dan Link State. Hasil yang didapat menunjukan bahwa Link State lebih efektif dalam mengirimkan paket dibandingkan dengan

Distance Vector dalam aktivitas download dan video streaming.
