Informasi tentang keragaman genetik termasuk penampilan fenotipik, variabilitas genetik serta heritabilitas diperlukan untuk mengevaluasi plasma nutfah tanaman yang akan digunakan untuk proses pemuliaan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi genetik 18 genotip tanaman hanjeli (Coix
lacryma-jobi l.) asal Jawa Barat berdasarkan karakter komponen hasil dan hasil. Percobaan
dilakukan di Ciparay, Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat, dari bulan Februari 2011 sampai dengan bulan September 2011. Percobaan disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) menggunakan 18 genotip sebagai perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakter yang mempunyai variabilitas genetik luas antara lain karakter jumlah malai utama, bobot 100 biji dan umur berbunga. Karakter yang memiliki variabilitas genetik sempit yaitu karakter tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah anakan, jumlah daun, jumlah buku, jumlah malai lateral, jumlah biji isi, jumlah biji per rumpun, diameter biji, bobot biji pertanaman, bobot biji perplot, bobot biji per hektar dan umur panen. Karakter yang menunjukkan nilai heritabilitas tinggi adalah karakter bobot 100 biji dan umur berbunga. Keragaman genetik 18 genotip tanaman hanjeli asal Jawa Barat adalah luas dengan jarak euclidean 2,32 - 5,25. Penyebaran yang luas dan nilai kontribusi total dari 17 karakter pengamatan yang relatif besar menunjukkan keragaman genetik yang luas terhadap 18 genotip hanjeli. Genotip yang memiliki penampilan baik berdasarkan pembobotan karakter yang diamati antara lain, untuk jenis Hanjeli Batu adalah #Acc 7, #Acc 2 dan #Acc 4. Untuk jenis Hanjeli Pulut adalah #Acc 28 dan #Acc 11.

The information about genetic diversity included phenotypic performance, genetic variability and heritability are needed to evaluate plant germplasm as basis for further plant breeding process. The experiment was aimed to get genetic information 18 genotype of Job Tear’s (Coix lacryma-jobi l.) based on yield components and yield. The experiment was conducted at Ciparay, Bandung, West Java, from February 2011 until September 2011. The experiment was designed in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) using 18 genotype as treatments and repeated three times. The result of the experiment indicated character with wide range genetic variability were number of main panicles, 100 seeds weight and flowered age. The character that has narrow genetic variability were plant height, branch diameter, number of clamp (new generation), number of leaves, number of nodes, number of lateral panicles, number of seeds contents, number of seeds per plant, seed diameter, weight of seeds per plant, weight of seeds per plot, weight of seeds per hectare and harvest age. The character that has high genetic heritability were 100 seeds weight and flowered age. Genetic diversity of 18 genotype tear’s were wide with euclidean distances from 2,32 - 5,2. The wide distribution and total contribution value from 17 experimental characters that were relatively large showed that there was broad genetic diversity toward 18 genotype tear’s. Best genotype phenotypic performance base on rank of character observation at the job’s tears form were #Acc 7, #Acc 2 and #Acc 4 and the adlay form were #Acc 28 and #Acc 11.
