ABSTRAK
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana rancang bangun sistem koleksi digital di perpustakaan PT. Bio Farma. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif Action Reseach (penelitian tindakan) dengan merancang dan membangun sistem koleksi digital di perpustakaan PT. Bio Farma. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rancang bangun sistem koleksi digital untuk buku obat-obatan di perpustakaan PT. Bio Farma meliputi lima tahap: (1) Pengalihbentukan dari cetak ke digita yaitu (a) pengumpulan (b) seleksi (c) pemindaian dengan menggunakan alat scanner (d) pengeditan pembuatan (e) mengelola metadata (f) publikasi koleksi di web (2) Penyusunan sistem organisasi informasi pada web (3) Penyusunan sistem pelabelan, (4) Perancangan sistem navigasi, (5) Desain pada situs web yang akan dibangun.
ABSTRACT
This research is intended to explain how is the design of digital collection system of PT. Bio Farma library. The library of PT. Bio Farma is a library that prioritize on satisfying service and comprehensive collection, ranged from specific collection to general collection. The method used in this research is action research qualitative method, that designing and building up the digital collection system of PT. Bio Farma library. The data collection methods of this research are trough observation, interview, literature review, and documents. From this research revealed that there are 5 stages in the building up digital collection system in the form of web, ie: shifting from print to digital form organization of information system, labeling system, navigation system, and the design of the website that will be built. The conclusion of this research is, in the system transfer from the manual to digital form by using the steps of collection, selection, scanning using a scanner, editing, manufacturing and managing metadata, as well as the publication of a collection on the web. In designing of digital systems form include: oraganisation information system on the web, labeling systems, navigation systems, and website design.
