Ongoing complaints about problems in locales where the decimal fraction separator is a comma, which interferes with the separator specified for <coordinates>.

In all places where this is relevant, it should be explicitly stated

the for the purpose of this specification, only the dot (.), ASCII code 0x2E, is allowed.

I agree that this is obvious, but it is always a good thing to be able to refer to an explicit clause in the specification, when complaints occur.
