II. Course Description
This subject provides st udent s w it h pre-int erm ediat e skills in com prehending sim ple oral discourses t hrough recorded voice of nat ive speakers. M at erials are present ed in a variet y of short funct ional t ext s in t he form of short conversat ion w it h exercises focusing on answ ering questions, bot h fact ual and inferent ial in nat ure, following a given t ext and on m aking inferences from it . St udent ’s classroom act ivit ies include individual work, pair w ork, and group w ork. Evaluat ion on st udent ’s achievem ent is based on classroom part icipat ion, hom e assignment , t he m id sem est er t est , and t he final t est .
