The author regrets that in the last paragraph of page 410 of the above-mentioned paper— where the ordered probit model with varying bounds is introduced—references have been wrongly omitted from the text. The ordered probit model with varying bounds was first proposed by Bolduc and Poole (1990) and was applied by Kerkhofs and Lindebook (1995). The author regrets if by this failure—for which he claims sole responsibility—the erroneous impression is created that this is the first paper to formulate an ordered probit model with varying bounds.
