First of all, the writer would like to thank to Allah swt for the mercy that has given to the writer to do this final report. Which is entitled “Writing the Comic Story Entitled “WOVEN GOLD” to Promote Songket as Palembang Traditional Cloth”, This report is written to fulfill the requirement of Final Report subject to graduate from Diploma III in English Department at State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya.

Writing the Comic Story Entitled ‘Woven Gold’ to Promote Songket as Palembang Traditional Cloth
(Azzhara Nabila, 2021: 44 pages, 14 Figures, and 4 Tables)
The purpose of this study is to find out how to write the comic story entitled
‘Woven Gold’ to promote songket as Palembang traditional cloth. This study is hoped to provide information and knowledge about songket. The problem is how to write the comic story entitled ‘Woven Gold’to promote songket as Palembang traditional cloth. The study used stages of Research and Development (R&D) method by simplifying Sukmadinata’s (2019) research and development model.
For writing the comic story, the writer used steps in writing comic story by Rahayu (2015). The comic story was written by the writer and then it was given to the experts. After having revision from the experts, the comic story was considered as final draft. This final report has explained the steps in writing comic story entitled ‘Woven Gold’ to promote songket as Palembang traditional cloth.
This comic story consists of 30 pages in english. The writer suggests to the next researchers complete the final stage of Research and Development, in order to determine the effectiveness of the products made.

Menulis Komik Berjudul ‘Woven Gold’ Untuk Mempromosikan Songket Sebagai Kain Tradisional Palembang
(Azzhara Nabila, 2021: 44 halaman, 14 gambar, and 4 Tabel)
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara penulisan cerita komik berjudul 'Woven Gold' untuk mempromosikan kain songket sebagai kain tradisional Palembang. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan tentang kain songket. Permasalahannya adalah bagaimana menulis cerita komik berjudul 'Woven Gold' untuk mempromosikan songket sebagai kain tradisional Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tahapan Research and Development (R&D) dengan menyederhanakan model penelitian dan pengembangan Sukmadinata (2019).
Untuk menulis cerita komik, penulis menggunakan langkah-langkah dalam menulis cerita komik oleh Rahayu (2015). Cerita komik ditulis oleh penulis dan kemudian diberikan kepada para ahli. Setelah mengalami revisi dari para ahli, cerita komik tersebut dianggap sebagai draft akhir. Laporan tugas akhir ini menjelaskan tentang langkah-langkah dalam penulisan cerita komik berjudul 'Woven Gold' untuk mempromosikan kain songket sebagai kain tradisional Palembang. Cerita komik ini terdiri dari 30 halaman dalam bahasa Inggris.
Penulis menyarankan kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk menyelesaikan tahap akhir Penelitian dan Pengembangan, guna mengetahui keefektifan produk yang dibuat.
