Segala puji syukur dan hormat saya panjatkan bagi Tuhan Yesus Kristus, yang telah memberi penulis kekuatan dan hikmat untuk menyelesaikan skripsi ini dengan judul Membangun Character Arc Dari Anti-Hero Menjadi Hero Dalam Penulisan Script Film Panjang Shock Therapy. Sebab tanpa pertolongan dan kasih karunia-Nya, penulis tidak dapat menyelesaikan skripsi ini dengan baik.

Tujuan dari skripsi ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan mengenai karakter, character arc, dan perubahan character arc dari anti-hero menjadi hero berdasarkan penulisan script film panjang Shock Therapy yang penulis buat untuk karya tugas akhir.

Penulis menyadari masih banyak kekurangan dalam penyusunan skripsi ini, untuk itu penulis mengharapkan saran dan kritik untuk perbaikan. Semoga skripsi ini dapat bermanfaat dan berguna bagi penulis maupun para pembaca.

ABSTRAKSI

Karakter protagonis tidak selalu memiliki sifat yang baik, namun karakter protagonis juga dapat memiliki karakter yang buruk. Protagonis dengan memiliki sifat yang buruk disebut dengan anti-hero. Karakter dapat menjadi seorang anti- hero karena dulu ia memiliki sebuah pengalaman masa lalu yang menyakitkan dan membuat karakter itu percaya akan pemikirannya yang salah. Namun pada dasarnya karakter pasti akan bertumbuh dan berubah melalui konflik yang dilaluinya dan kebenaran yang telah diketahuinya. Dalam penulisan skripsi ini, penulis membahas mengenai bagaimana membanguun character arc dari anti- hero menjadi hero dalam penulisan script film panjang Shock Therapy. Hal-hal apa saja yang membuat karakter tersebut menjadi anti-hero dan kemudian menjadi hero. Proses dalam melakukan penulisan skripsi ini adalah dengan menganalisis the positive change arc karakter protagonis dari anti-hero menjadi hero berdasarkan script film panjang Shock Therapy. Hasil analisis menyebutkan bahwa seseorang dapat berubah dari anti-hero menjadi hero karena karakter tersebut meninggalkan pemikirannya yang lama dan percaya kepada kebenarannya yang baru.

ABSTRACT

Protagonist characters don't always have good character, but the protagonist characters can also have bad characters. The protagonist with have a bad character is called an anti-hero. A character can become an anti-hero because he used to have a painful past experience and make the character believe in his wrong thinking. But basically, the character will surely grow and change through the conflict in its path and the truth that it knows. In writing this thesis, the author discusses how to build the character arc from anti-hero to hero in screenwriting film Shock Theraphy. What things that make the character become anti-hero and then become a hero. The process of writing this thesis is to analyze the positive change arc of the protagonist from anti-hero to hero based on the screenwriting film Shock Therapy. The analysis shows that a person can change from an anti- hero to a hero because the character abandons his old thoughts and believes in his new truth.
