Abstract

The teacher's role is very important in improving the quality of education, therefore, in the learning process teachers need a method that encourages students to be active in the learning process for the improvement of teaching and learning process and student learning outcomes. At this time in the learning of teachers still use traditional methods of teaching, such as lectures. With this, the researchers applied the method of project-based learning in the learning with the aim that students are more active, and their learning outcome in Guidance information and communication technology to the material processing excel document advanced on 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga which amounts to 52 students with methods of data collection in the form of test methods, observation and questionnaire. This research is using the instrument as a support tool. The instrument used is the test of practice, create tables, pieces of student activity observation, learning steps of teachers and student questionnaire responses sheets. Data obtained from the analysis of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed that the method of project based learning can improve liveliness and student learning outcomes.

Abstrak

Peran guru sangatlah penting dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan, oleh karena itu dalam proses

belajar mengajar guru membutuhkan suatu metode yang mampu mendorong siswa untuk aktif

dalam proses pembelajaran untuk peningkatan proses belajar mengajar dan hasil belajar siswa.

Pada saat ini dalam pembelajaran guru masih menggunakan metode traditional dalam

pengajaran, seperti ceramah. Dengan ini, peneliti menerapkan metode

project based learning

dalam pembelajaran dengan tujuan agar siswa lebih aktif, dan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar

pada Bimbingan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dengan materi pengolahan dokumen excel

tingkat lanjut pada siswa kelas VIII SMP NEGERI 1 Salatiga yang berjumlah 52 siswa dengan

metode pengumpulan data berupa metode tes, observasi dan metode angket/kuesioner. Penelitian

ini menggunakan instrumen sebagai alat pendukung. Instrument yang digunakan adalah tes

praktek, membuat tabel, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, langkah-langkah pembelajaran guru

dan lembar angket respon siswa. Data diperoleh dari analisis dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan

kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dengan metode

project based learning

dapat

meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa.
