About the topic/technology
The American Society of Interior Designers reports that residential interior design continues to experience tremendous growth, even in difficult economic times. The surge in homebuilding and consumers fascination in the design process, reflected in the popularity of television programs such as Trading Spaces and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, has lead to an explosion in demand for interior design services. While pretty picture books showcase examples of exceptional or lavishly designed residential interiors, few books go beyond the "idea" guides.
