SINTESIS DAN KARAKTERISASI FILM GALAKTOMANAN IKAT SILANGGLUTARALDEHIDA MELALUI REAKSI KONDENSASI
GALAKTOMANAN KOLANG-KALING (Arenga pinnata)
ABSTRAK
Galaktomanan kolang-kaling ikat silang glutaraldehida (GIG) telah dapat diperoleh dari reaksi galaktomanan kolang-kaling(GKK) dengan glutaraldehida pada pH 2. Dalam penelitian ini terlebih dahulu dilakukan ekstraksi galaktomanan dari kolang-kaling menggunakan air suling diperolehkadarnya 4,427%. Analisis gugus fungsi galaktomanan ikat silang glutaraldehida dengan spektrofotometer FT-IR menghasilkan pita serapan pada daerah bilangan gelombang 1150-1085 cm-1yang menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi C-O-C asimetrik, serta terjadinya perubahan absorbansi gugus hidroksil yang semakin kecil jika jumlah Glutaraldehida semakin besar.Hasil analisis SEM (Scanning Electron Microscpic) galaktomanan ikat silang glutaraldehida menunjukkan telah terjadi perubahan morfologi permukaan. Pada galaktomanan kolang-kaling bentuk permukaan halus, sedangkan bentuk permukaan galaktomanan ikat silang glutaraldehida kasar dan bergelombang. Hasil pengukuran ketebalan menghasilkan tebal film 0,20-0,82 mm. Hasil pengukuran derajat swelling galaktomanan ikat silang glutaraldehida yang diperoleh, yaitu semakin banyak glutaraldehida, maka indeks swelling semakin kecil, dari nilai indeks swelling ini kemungkinan Galaktomanan kolang-kaling ikat silang glutaraldehida dapat diaplikasikan sebagai matriks pembawa obat.

ABSTRACT
Galactomannan of sugar palm fruitcrosslinked glutaraldehyde (GIG) can be obtained from Galactomannan of sugar palm fruit(GKK) reaction with glutaraldehyde at pH 2.First in this research galactomannan from sugar palm fruit Extraction of used distilled water that resulted 4,427%. The analysis of functional groups glutaraldehyde absorption band in wave number 1150-1085 cm-1 which shows the group of C-O-Casymmetric, as well as changes in absorbance of hydroxyl groups are getting smaller if the greater number of glutaraldehyde. The result of SEM (Scanning electron Microscopic) glutaraldehyde crosslinked galactomanan appeared there has been a change that morphology of surface. At galactomannan of sugar palm fruit has a smooth surface shape, while the surface shape glutaraldehyde crosslinked galactomanan was rough and have pore. The measurement of thickness appeared that thick of film have obtained was 0.20-0.82 mm. The measurementdegree of swelling glutaraldehyde crosslinked galactomananthat is more glutaraldehyde, then the smaller the swelling index, swelling of the value of properties likely Galactomannan of sugar palm fruit crosslinked glutaraldehyde can be applied to drug carrier matrix.
