ABSTRAK
ROSNIKAH MANULLANG, 2015. “Pemanfaatan Tepung Limbah Ikan Gabus Pasir (Butis amboinensis) Sebagai Pengganti Tepung Ikan Dalam Ransum Terhadap Karkas Ayam Broiler”, dibimbing oleh TRI HESTI WAHYUNI dan NURZAINAH GINTING.
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung limbah ikan gabus pasir terhadap bobot potong, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jln Pelita Baru, Binjai pada bulan Agustus – September 2015. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Setiap ulangan terdiri atas 5 ekor ayam broiler. Perlakuan terdiri atas P0 (tepung ikan komersil), P1 (50% tepung limbah ikan gabus pasir), P2 (100% tepung limbah ikan gabus pasir).
Hasil penelitian menunjukan Rataan bobot potong (g) secara berturut- turut untuk perlakuan P0, P1 dan P2 sebesar ; (1261,94, 1279,39 dan 1190,66). Bobot karkas (g) ; (913,72, 938,39 dan 862,50). Persentase karkas (%) ; (72,41, 73,32 dan 72,49). Uji statistik hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa parameter bobot potong, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05).
Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa tepung limbah ikan gabus pasir dapat digunakan dalam ransum untuk menggantikan tepung ikan komersil pada level 100% dalam ransum.

ROSNIKAH MANULLANG, 2015. “The Utilization of Gabus Pasir Waste Meal (Butis amboinensis) as Substitution of Comercial Fish Meal in Broiler Chickens Rations on Carcass”. Supervised by TRI HESTI WAHYUNI and NURZAINAH GINTING.
The research aimed to determine the utilization of gabus pasir waste meal on slaughter weight, carcass weight and carcass percentage of broiler chickens. The research was conducted in Jl. Pelita, Binjai, from Agustus until September 2015. The design was used completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications each replications consist of 5 weaning day old
chicken (DOC). Treatments were consisted of P0 (fish meal comercil); P1 (50 % waste of gabus pasir meal); P2 (100 % waste of gabus pasir meal).
The result showed the average slaughter weight (g/head) for the treatments of P0, P1 and P2 were (1261,94; 1279,39 and 1190,66, respectively). Average carcass (g/head) weight (913,71; 938,39 and 862,50, respectively). Average carcass percentage (%) (72,41; 73,32 and 73,81, respectively). Test statistic the results showed that the indicate on slaughter weight, carcass weight and carcass percentage were not significant (P>0,05). The conclusion of this research that of waste of gabus pasir meal can be used up to 100% level of fish meal in broiler chickens ration.
