ABSTRAK
Pembuatan magnet komposit berbahan dasar Barium Heksaferit dengan penambahan FeB dan filler silicone rubber telah berhasil dilakukan. Bahan baku Barium Heksaferit dan FeB di milling secara terpisah dengan menggunakan Planetary Ball Mill (PBM) selama 24 jam dan High Energy Milling (HEM) selama 1 jam kemudian di mixing menggunakan PBM dengan perbandingan BaFe12O19 : FeB adalah 97:3, 95:5, dan 93:7 %berat. Serbuk hasil mixing
dikalsinasi pada suhu 900°C, kemudian ditambahkan silicone rubber 20, 30, 40, dan 50 %berat sebagai filler bahan komposit. Karakterisasi material meliputi struktur mikro (XRD), bulk density, sifat magnetik, dan uji tarik. Hasil XRD menunjukkan dengan penambahan FeB meningkatkan jumlah fasa hematit (Fe2O3). Hasil bulk density menunjukkan nilai rapat jenis tertinggi pada
penambahan 20% berat silicone rubber 2,251×10-3kg/m3 dengan nilai koersivitas jHc = 2,85×
A/m dan nilai modulus elasitsitas 0,99 MPa. Dari hasil penelitian
diperoleh magnet komposit permanen yang tahan lama karena memiliki nilai koersivitas yang tinggi.

CHARACTERIZATION OF MAGNET COMPOSITE BARIUM
HEKSAFERRITE WITH FeB ADDITION AS MATRIX AND
SILICONE RUBBER AS FILLER
ABSTRACT
Fabrication of composite magnet material based on Barium Heksaferit with the addition FeB and silicone rubber as filler has been successfully prepared. The raw materials Barium Heksaferit and FeB separately milled by using Planetary Ball Mill (PBM) for 24 hours and High Energy Milling (HEM) for 1 hour and then mixed by using PBM with composition ratio BaFe12O19: FeB are 97: 3, 95: 5, and 93: 7 %weight. The powder has mixed calcined at 900 °C, then added silicone rubber 20, 30, 40, and 50% weight as filler composite materials. The caracterization of materials are the microstructure (XRD), bulk density, magnetic properties (VSM), and the tensile test. The XRD results showed the addition of FeB increasing phases of hematite (Fe2O3). The results show the highest bulk density value in the addition of 20% weight of silicone rubber is 2.251 × 10 -3
kg/m3 and coercivity value, jHC = 2,85× A/m and young modulus value is 0.99 MPa. The results were obtained permanent magnet composites are durable because has a high coercivity.
