ABSTRAK

Dokter gigi sebagai tenaga kesehatan dalam pekerjaannya selalu

berhubungan dengan saliva dan darah pasien sehingga sangat rentan terinfeksi

virus khususnya virus hepatitis B, oleh karena itu diperlukan tindakan proteksi diri

dengan penerapan

standard precautions

dan vaksin hepatitis B. Tujuan penelitian

ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kepatuhan dokter gigi program pendidikan

dokter gigi spesialis dalam proteksi diri terhadap hepatitis B.

Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan

metode

cross sectional

. Sampel dipilih secara

purposive sampling

. Alat ukur yang

digunakan adalah kuesioner.

Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa dokter gigi program pendidikan dokter

gigi spesialis yang patuh dalam proteksi diri terhadap hepatitis B adalah sebesar

71,13% dan yang tidak patuh sebesar 28,87%

Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat kepatuhan dokter gigi program

pendidikan dokter gigi spesialis dalam proteksi diri terhadap hepatitis B adalah

baik.

The Obedience Level of Dentists in Dental Specialist Education Program in

Self-Protection Against Hepatitis B

ABSTRACT

Dentists as health care service workers were always in touch with saliva

and blood of patients so that they were susceptible infected with the virus

especially the hepatitis B virus, therefore self-protection measures is required by

applying standard precautions and hepatitis B vaccine. The purpose of this study

was to determine the level of obedience of dentists in dental specialist education

program in self-protection against hepatitis B.

This study was conducted by using descriptive with cross sectional

method. The sample were selected by purposive sampling. Measuring instrument

used was questionnaire.

The result shows that dentists in dental specialist education program who

obedient in self-protection against hepatitis B are about 71.13% and not obedient

are about 28.87%.

The conclusion of this study is the level of obedience of dentists in dental

specialist education program in self-protection against hepatitis B is good.
