Abstract
Password vulnerable to attack by hackers because the user does not know used good password. This study tested the levels security textual password and image password that are implemented in web-based application to use it only brute force attack method. The results showed that the levels of security image password is quite high, because hackers requires a number of combination and lots of pictures to look every opportunity that the image appears, because the system will display a random image on each of the four stages and takes a long time. While the textual password displays only one stage and password used is a combination of alphanumeric characters are easy to remember.

Abstrak
Password rentan untuk diserang oleh hacker karena user tidak tahu penggunaan password yang baik. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian yang menguji tingkat keamanan password berbasis teks dan password berbasis gambar, yang diimplementasikan pada aplikasi berbasis web, menggunakan metode Brute Force Attack (BFA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keamanan password gambar cukup tinggi, karena hacker memerlukan jumlah kombinasi gambar yang banyak dan harus melihat setiap peluang gambar yang muncul, karena sistem akan menampilkan gambar acak pada setiap empat tahap dan memerlukan waktu yang lama. Sedangkan password teks hanya menampilkan satu tahap dan password yang digunakan masih kombinasi
alphanumeric
yang
mudah diingat.
