The Watermelon
Watermelon is originated in southern Africa where it is found growing wild.
However, it is now planted in countries like Taiwan, China and Australia. A watermelon plant is actually a creeper which has shallow and wide roots. The watermelon is a type of melon. It has smooth exterior rind with juicy interior flesh.
The rind of a watermelon is normally green. Meanwhile, its flesh is usually pink but sometimes orange, yellow and red. It has many tiny black seeds in it. However, we can also find watermelons which are seedless at the market nowadays. The seedless watermelons are often sold at higher prices compared to the ordinary ones.
Watermelon contains about 6% of sugar and 92% of water by weight. Like many other fruits, it contains a lot of vitamin A and C. It can be eaten instantly, made into juice and even blended with ice cubes. In Malaysia, watermelons are available throughout the year as they have become non-seasonal fruits like bananas, mangoes and guavas.

The Brilliant Answer
Emperor Khan was well known of putting riddles and puzzles to his servants. He often asked questions which were strange and witty.
It took much wisdom to answer these questions. Once, he asked a very strange question. No one knew the answer for that tricky question.
Emperor Khan glanced at his servants. As he looked, one by one the heads began to hang low in search of an answer. It was at this moment that Marcus entered the palace. Marcus who knew the nature of the Emperor quickly grasped the situation and asked, "May I know the question so that I can try for an answer?".
The Emperor said, "How many crows are there in this city?"
Without even a moment’s thought, Marcus replied "There are fifty thousand five hundred and eighty-nine crows, my lord".
"How can you be so sure?" asked the emperor.
Marcus said, "Make your men count, My Lord. If you find more crows it means some have come to visit their relatives here. If you find less number of crows it means some have gone to visit their relatives elsewhere". The Emperor was pleased very much by Marcus’ wittiness
