Two hundred boys joined our Kiwanis junior baseball league for the seventh annual year. Equipment is furnished and a paid instructor engaged for this activity.Bemidji, Minn. We assisted in preparations for a three-day winter sports carnival.
Bristol, Tenn. Organized two teams for the junior baseball league and as- sisted police in patrolling the attendance at football games.
Brooklyn, Cleveland, Ohio. Five thousand people attended a carnival which netted us $1,000.00 for athletic purposes.
Carrington, N. D. A suitable athletic field is being secured for the high school and community.
Daytona Beach, Fla. Helped to develop a high school athletic association with 1,000 paying members at $1.00 per person, and we sponsored a base- ball team for boys.
Dixon, Ill. Developed a broadcasting service so that all spectators could get the details of the high school football games.
East Chicago, Ind. The club opened its ninth annual baseball season equip- ping eight teams of twelve boys each. Our experience during the past year shows that this is a most worthy project for our young people. The boys of this league were given a banquet.
Fall River, Mass. The club has taken an active part in the erection of a stadium at the high school which cost $2,000.00.
Fergus Falls, Minn. We helped to sponsor a city hockey club.
Helper, Utah. By organizing a junior baseball league we have assisted in reducing juvenile delinquency.

A Kiwanis baseball league included 24 teams for 400 school boys. We entertained all the football and baseball champions.New York, N. Y. The sandlot baseball league was organized with SO teams from the five boroughs of Greater New York. There were about 800 boys participating in the games. The Brooklyn team won the first award and the Staten Island team won the second. Watches were awarded to the boys who showed the best sportsmanship.
Noranda, P. Q. Four hockey teams were organized for the boys in our com- munity. Baseball and football leagues were also part of our playground and athletic program.
Shelton, Wash. A county-wide grade school track meet was held in May with medals awarded to all winners.
Shreveport, La. We sponsored the Southern Girls' field and track meet and assisted in building a new football stadium for Centenary College.
Valley City, N. D. The ninth annual Kiwanis track meet, with more than 200 athletes from 26 schools, was held in May. This meet is now recog- nized as one of the major events of the state.
Wichita Falls, Tex. The Kiwanis football stadium was our major interest.
It seats approximately 9,500 people and is the finest of its kind in the southwest. The 18 acre stadium tract and playing field will be enclosed with a fence. Installation of flood lighting for the service baseball league was another one of our worth-while civic projects.
Worthington, Minn. Under-privileged boys were organized into four base- ball teams and the club purchased the necessary uniforms and equipment.

The active financial support and the general sponsoring work of Kiwanis clubs on behalf of school and community athletics of different kinds are do- ing much not only to develop the health and strength of contestants but in helping considerably to develop community and inter-community spirit. Clubs are also doing much to bring favorable comment to those cities in which such activity is engaged. The different forms of such promotional work includes the following:

Provided medals, cups and other trophies.
Promoted organization of community teams.
Awarded medals for character and scholarship of athletes.
Organized baseball, basketball, and football leagues for boys and girls.

Supplied transportation so that students could see championship games.
Raised funds for the Olympic games.
Hired athletic coaches for high schools.
Sponsored contests of various kinds.
Purchased uniforms and equipment.
Entertainment for winning teams.
Municipal golf teams and courses.
