2. The Effect of the Use Kahoot! Application Toward Students’ Motivation in Learning English

The table show that were 25 students, the result show that 2 students or 4%

choose agree, 8 students or 32% choose undecided, 9 students or 36% choose disagree, 6 students or 24% choose strongly disagree, meanwhile no one of the students answered strongly agree with the statement.

The table show that were 25 students, the result show that 3 students or 12%

choose strongly agree, 1 student or 4% choose agree, 12 students or 48% choose undecided, 7 students or 28% choose disagree, and 2 students or 8% of the students choose strongly disagree.

2. The Effect of the Use Kahoot! Application Toward Students’ Motivation in

a. Data Presetation Interview

1. What is your opinion about Kahoot! application? (Apa opini kamu tentang aplikasi Kahoot!)

The first question aims to know the opinion of the students about kahoot application. The most students answered that the kahoot application very often used in learning activity.

2. Whether Kahoot! application is good to use or not in the class?

(Apakah aplikasi Kahoot! bagus digunakan di dalam kelas atau tidak?)

The second question discusess about wether the kahoot is good to used or not in the class. Most of students perspective have diverse answered, half of students answered the kahoot will be good based on the network that students used in learning activity.

3. What do you get from Kahoot! application?

(Apa yang kamu dapatkan dari aplikasi Kahoot!?)

R: What is your opinion about Kahoot! application

S1: I think the Kahoot! very often used by my teacher in lessons and very good when used by teachers

(Menurut saya aplikasi Kahoot! sering sekali digunakan oleh guru saya dalam pelajaran dan sangat bagus sekali saat digunakan oleh guru)

R: Whether Kahoot! application is good to use or not in the class?

(Apakah aplikasi Kahoot! bagus digunakan di dalam kelas atau tidak?) S1: For use in the classroom, it depends on each network, it's not that the class has the same network and the same economy. But, it depends on the student, but I agree (Untuk digunakan didalam kelas tergantung jaringan masing-masing, kan bukan didalam kelas itu mempunyai jaringan yang sama dan ekonomi yang sama. Tapi, tergantung siswanya, tapi saya iya setuju)

S2: Yes, amazing! (Iya sangat bagus!)

R: What do you get from Kahoot! application?

(Apa yang kamu dapatkan dari aplikasi Kahoot!?)

S1: I gained new knowledge and challenged each other with friends. (Saya mendapatkan pengetahuan baru dan saling tertantang dengan teman.)

The third question discusses about the effect of used kahoot application. Most of students gained new knowledge and challenged with their friend.

4. What is your obstacles with Kahoot!?

(Apa kendala kamu dengan Kahoot!?)

The fourth question is discussed about the obstacle that students faced in using kahoot application. The students have diverse opinion about the obstacle that they facing in the used of kahoot application. Some students have obstacle on the network, some students say there nothing obstacle that they faced.

5. What is your suggestion as a Kahoot! user?

(Apa saran kamu sebagai pengguna Kahoot!?)

The last question is to gained the suggestion from the students on the used of kahoot.

R: What is your obstacles with Kahoot!?

(Apa kendala kamu dengan Kahoot!?)

S1: Actually no, but the usual only on the network. (Sebenarnya tidak ada, tetapi biasa hanya di jaringan.)

S2:Nothing (Tidak ada)

R: What is your suggestion as a Kahoot! user?

(Apa saran kamu sebagai pengguna Kahoot!?)

S1: Hmm, my suggestion, maybe the teacher can use it in every lesson so that every lesson becomes interesting. (Hmm saran saya, mungkin guru bisa gunakan di setiap pelajaran supaya setiap pembelajaran menjadi menarik.) S2: The time can be added a little, so you don't have to rush to answer questions (Waktunya bisa ditambah sedikit, supaya tidak terlalu terburu- buru menjawab pertanyaan)

a. Students feel challenged to use Kahoot! application

The first effect was the students feel challenged to use Kahoot! application.

Based on the result of the interview most of the students feel challenged to use this application, because there are many features in the Kahoot! application that can be used by teachers during the learning process. The features in the Kahoot!

application such as quiz, puzzles, discussion, and true or false make students more excited in the class, because they feel challenged by other friends.

b. Students more creative and fun in learning

The second effect was the students’ more creative and fun in learning.

Students also admitted that in using the Kahoot! application in the class the learning process becomes more lively and cheerful. This because of the quiz game from Kahoot! application can make students more creative in answered questions and also responsive.

The researcher found the motivation gave by Kahoot! application in the learning process to students. This application really helped teacher in the learning English, because this application makes students more excited an liven up the class.

Based on the result of interviewed above, the researcher can concluded that the answered from students can helped researcher in solving problem in number 1 is about students’ perception in used Kahoot! application toward students’

motivation in learning English. So, that these students can be more creative and fun in receiving the material and easily understand the explanation from teacher. The researcher can concluded that students answered have a positive effect on used Kahoot! application.
