CHAPTER V: CLOSING

B. Recommendations

Based on the result of this research, the suggestions are addressed to the author of the textbook, English teachers, and future researchers who are interested in conducting similar studies.

1. The author of the textbook

The author of the textbook needs to pay more attention to the guidelines in designing the textbook, such as in terms of integrating and the balance of character education values distribution in the content materials and learning activities of the textbooks. Therefore, the students can explore the knowledge of character values while learning a particular subject.

2. English teachers

The English teachers should be selective in choosing a proper textbook as the teaching media. They also need to understand well about the integration of character values in language learning, therefore, they can relate the subjects to the values of character education.

3. Future researcher

As this study only used one textbook to be analysed, other researchers who are interested in textbook analysis can use other English textbooks from different grades or different publishers to find out the integration of character values into the school subjects. In addition, future researchers can also conduct similar research using other English language skills material as research limitations, such as listening, writing, or speaking to find out what values are delivered to the learners.
